Amira Abouzahra
She was born on 25th December 2005 to a Hungarian mother and an Egyptian father – both pianists. At the age of four Amira chose the violin as her musical instrument and has been a student of Alexander Gavrilenko since then. She has given concerts since the age of five. She has performed at Royal Opera House Muscat, has played with the National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, the Chamber Orchestra of the Mannheimer Abandakademie, the Kurpfalzphilharmonie Heidelberg and the Kremerata Baltica Chamber Orchestra.
In 2016 she had more concerts with Hungarian orchestras such as the Hegyvidéki Solti György Orchestra and the MÁV Symphony Orchestra. In the same year she got into the semi-finals of the Virtuosos Classical Music Talent Show and won the scholarship of Domhof Foundation supporting uniquely gifted youngsters.
In 2017 she decided to try her luck in Virtuosos again and came out as the winner of her age group. As a special award offered by Armel Opera Festival she will have the opportunity to perform at the Berliner Philharmonie with the MÁV Chamber Orchestra.
